Mid-autumn festival 2010 is being held in Hanoi ancient quarter until September 22nd (the 15th day of the eight lunar month) as an activity to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The opening ceremony began with performances of drum and arts, lion dances. Traditional games are also being held.
Toys for children, especially traditional toys, and cakes are available at the festival.
Diverse activities take place from Hang Ma street, Dong Xuan market, at walking streets of Hang Dao, Dong Xuan and Hang Giay, and at ancient houses at 87 Ma May street, 28 Hang Buom street and 38 Hang Dao street.
